Automatic numbering

1 Automatic numbering scheme

  • Clauses, Figures, Tables, Equations, Notes and Examples are automatically incrementally numbered when they are added to the document.
  • When you insert a new numbered element in between two existing elements (for example you add a new table in a clause, but the next clause already contains a table), then the new element will get the correct next incremental value, and subsequent elements be automatically renumbered.
  • Any cross reference made to an automatically numbered element will also have its label, automatically numbered.

New alternative numbering is now available when working on your standards.
